CAREERS

Careers education is extremely important for us at RAISE-AP.  We aim to raise the aspirations and motivation of our students, working with them to remove barriers to achieve their career aims and life goals. We will support them in moving forward successfully into further education, training or employment.

During their time at RAISE-AP, we endeavour to support all students in recieving independent careers interviews and follow up meetings, offering advice and tracking progress. This predominantly occurs but linked careers advisors from the named school, however we do also have access to a careers specialist consultant.

All our Key Stage 4 students are offered the opportunity and support in gaining experiences of workplaces through work experience - more information can be found on our work experience page.

Careers guidance is provided through the curriculum:

KS3 students have guidance within PSHE lessons. Our Living in the Wider World module encompassing careers, teamwork and enterprise skills alongside raising aspirations.

KS4 students have specific Life Skills lessons, supporting them creating CV’s and covering letters to apply for jobs or college courses, interview techniques and completing college applications.
