Signposting and Support
We know that seeking advice and help can be difficult for some students and their families. We encourage our students to speak to any member of staff and also utilise our student virtual learning environment (VLE) with the specific well-being pages.
Below, you will find the links to some useful services (click the name of the service).
Hampshire CAMHS (Child Adolescent Mental Health Services)
You can contact them for advice on all things related to your mental health. If you are already working with CAMHS, you can also call them if you need some further support.
Young people using the site are able to access a range of support services including one-to-one counselling sessions, discussing issues with your peers through online discussion boards, reading and contributing to self-help content and recording your feelings via journals and goal trackers. The online nature of Kooth means that you can access help in a way that is most suitable for you, at a time that is convenient for you, 365 days of the year
Hampshire Youth Access (Youth Counselling)
This website has some great resources for parents and young people ranging from grief, dealing with emotions and general advice on your health and well-being.
This a service specifically for young people affected by bereavement.
Yellow Door specialise in helping those affected by domestic or sexual abuse.
Support and advice for young people and parents.
A website specifically for young people who experience sensory experiences that others don’t (voices or hallucinations)
Substance Misuse support – for young people and families affected by any type of substance misuse.
Support for young people living with parents/siblings with physical or emotional ill health.
Offer lots of advice and support for parents and young people on a wide range of topics including behavioural needs and LGBTQ support.
HOPE Line UK
A free and confidential support service for young people experiencing thoughts of suicide. Also offers support for parents and carers. Call 0800 0684141 or search for their App on your app store.
